Enmity

Each spell and ability used by a player generates an amount of enmity, which comes in two forms, Cumulative Enmity (CE) and Volatile Enmity (VE). The two forms are added together to determine the player’s Total Enmity(TE). An enemy’s target will be the player with the highest current TE.

Cumulative Enmity

Cumulative Enmity is generated upon use of any spell or ability and does not decay naturally. All spells and abilities generate at least 1CE until a player has reached the cap of 10,000CE. CE is decreased in a number of ways including, but not limited to taking damage, evading an attack via Utsusemi, zoning, and logging out.

Volatile Enmity

Volatile Enmity is generated upon use for some spells and abilities and decays naturally over time at a rate of -60VE/sec until reaching zero. Unlike Cumulative Enmity, not all spells and abilities generate VE.
