A system of monster families that is based on the unnatural creation of the creatures within the system. All monsters within the Arcana system have been created or given life by means of magic.
Arcana are meant to be the favored enemies of Dark Knights, due to their Arcana Killer Job Trait and Arcane Circle Job Ability.

All monsters in the Arcana System share the following characteristics:
- Aggro to Magic Casting (May also aggro to something else)
- Not able to be Charmed
- Intimidate Undead
- Intimidated by Undead
